I thought I’d do something a little different today and share with you some of my favorite fashion blogs. It’s no secret nowadays that some fashion bloggers wield just as much influence as magazine editors in shaping trends and sharing the latest news and images from the runways. But what’s more fun about these bloggers is that they are much more down to earth and inspire on a personal level, making us feel as though pulling off the perfect ensemble is as easy as making our mamma’s apple pie.
Of course, there are thousands of blogs to check out and with that comes a seemingly endless stream of posts… But for a blogger to reallly get through, to me at least, they’ve got to show me style that is elegant and sophisticated, a site layout that’s clean, an appetite for photography and most of all, a discerning eye. These are some of my favorites! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Tuula Vintage
Fashion blogger Jessica Stein redefines sleek and stylish. Wearing everything from super-structured pieces to punchy prints, her loyalty to clean, eye-catching lines is what makes her outfits so enticing.
Her blog Tuula isn’t your run-of-the-mill fashion blog. Aside from her outfit pictures, Jessica captures her global adventures with the most amazing travel photography. A few minutes on Tuula and one thing becomes apparent, Jessica enjoys life just as much, if not more, than she enjoys fashion… and that type of enthusiam is totally contagious. Follow her and her style as she travels the world.
Wendy’s Lookbook
The brainchild of Wendy Nguyen, an L.A.-based blogger, Wendy’s Lookbook has garnered Nguyen a fanatic following of fans who just can’t wait to see what she’ll wear next… and she has won my top spot for all time favorite fashion blogger. Her looks are always stylish and sophisticated, managing to show just enough skin to keep herself always graceful and ladylike. Not to mention she has the cutest darn personality ever.
There’s nothing more addictive to the casual blog browser than post after post of immaculately styled outfits. What’s more, her YouTube videos are nothing short of masterfully creative and so much fun to watch. So for the unfamiliar, prepare to scroll… I promise you’ll get hooked on Wendy’s Lookbook.
Ivory Lane
Emily Jackson of Ivory Lane is the latest style blogger to join my favorites list. The Utah-based 24-year-old, and mom to adorable 2-year-old daughter Capri, has a sophisticated, classic sensibility, but isn’t afraid to throw a few trendy pieces into the mix. Other then the occasional Givenchy handbag or Christian Louboutin pumps (all of which I adore), I love that most of her pieces are from stores we all shop at like Gap, Nordstrom and Anthropologie. It isn’t the pieces but rather the way she puts it all together that makes her point of view stand out from the rest.
The Chriselle Factor
Starting off her career as a fashion wardrobe stylist, Chriselle Lim logged in years of editorial shoots with prominent fashion magazines. Now, as wardrobe stylist turned personal-style blogger and Youtuber, she has been creating quite a stir in the fashion industry chronicling her personal style, do-it-yourself projects and daily inspirations.
In December, 2011 Chriselle created her own YouTube channel in hopes to empower women all over the world to discover their true beauty and employ fashion to give them the confidence they need to feel beautiful. Within two years, over 300,000 people have subscribed to her channel with over 19 million views, making her the #1 fashion expert on all of YouTube. As an editor/wardrobe stylist/blogger/fashion guru she is now one of the most influential tastemakers on the web, and if her addicting daily musings are any indication, the best is yet to come.
The Blond Salad
Chiara Ferragni was born in Cremona, Italy and is currently a law student at Bocconi university. In October 2009 she started her fashion blog, and despite having to spend countless hours in lectures and libraries, every day since has posted a new look for her followers both Italian and English. While playing to her native Italian side her style is progressive and contemporary.
The blog follows Ferragni’s interests of fashion, photography, travel and lifestyle, what she calls a mixed salad of interests and what is most likely the inspiration for her blog’s name. In the last few years she has used the success of the blog to partner with various fashion and beauty brands on products like a shoe line in collaboration with Louis Vuitton, Ermenegildo Zegna and Mango, and events with companies like Christian Dior. Her site is beautiful to the eye with a distinctly global take on fashion.
I hope you enjoy browsing these bloggers pages and find a little inspiration for your fall wardrobe. I would also love to her about your favorite fashion blogs. Leave me a message or email me some of your favorites!
Great post! I too take some of my style inspiration from fashion bloggers! I love Tuula Vintage but not familiar with the rest of them. I will visit the links right away! Thanks for sharing 🙂
